Full Moon, Full Flow

Mid-Autumn greetings from Huiyu — and a note on our holiday schedule so you can plan production and shipments.

Every year around this time, the osmanthus outside our workshop starts to smell sweeter, and by the time the moon is full the whole building seems to slow down half a beat — right up until the pumps start running again in the morning.

Mid-Autumn Festival is a holiday about gathering. Families get together, the table gets crowded, and somebody always ends up arguing about which mooncake filling is the only acceptable one. We enjoy that part. But the festival also touches something closer to what we do every day, because our work rests on the same idea: things that hold together, quietly, over time.

A pump that doesn't mind the wait

A peristaltic pump is not an exciting machine. It doesn't roar. Its only wetted part is a piece of tubing, and it squeezes that tubing thousands of times a day, moving liquid with a rhythm you could almost set a watch by. The interesting part is never the first hour. It's the four hundredth, when the tubing still hasn't deformed and the flow rate is still exactly where it was on day one.

That is the question our engineers keep coming back to. Anyone can build a pump that runs. Building one that still delivers the same flow on its eight hundredth day — that is the actual job. It is why we spend so long on tubing selection, why we ask whether a customer runs silicone or platinum-cured tubing before we recommend anything, and why we argue about wall thickness and pump head tolerances more than is probably healthy.

"Still stable." Two words — the best review we have had all year.

Last month a customer sent us a phone video at one in the morning: a dosing line that had been running non-stop for weeks. No long email, no report. Just those two words. We will take it.

So when we wish you a happy Mid-Autumn Festival, there is a bit of that in it. We hope your production lines stay calm. We hope your schedules hold. And we hope nothing surprises anyone at two in the morning.

Holiday schedule

Please note the following arrangement so you can plan production, deliveries and site work in advance. Weekdays are listed explicitly — the dates fall across a weekend this year.

Sunday, September 20 — WORKING DAY
Business as usual. A Sunday, and we will be here — production scheduling, order follow-up and shipping all operate normally.

Friday, September 25 – Sunday, September 27 — PUBLIC HOLIDAY
Three days closed. Office and production lines are shut for the Mid-Autumn Festival.

Monday, September 28 — RESUME
Full operations resume — production, technical support and shipping all back to normal.

Before you close your own books

Shipments before the holiday — if an order needs to leave our factory before September 25, please confirm it with us by September 24 so we can slot it into the production schedule in time.

Urgent after-sales issues — if a line goes down or a tubing failure can't wait three days, contact your account manager directly. We keep a small team on standby for exactly these situations.

Technical questions — pump selection, dosing setup or tubing compatibility queries are welcome any time; we will pick them up in the order they arrive from September 28.
